An Online Sports Quiz is being conducted and all the participating students shall be given e-generated participation certificates, Certificate of Merit shall be generated automatically for the students who scores 80% and above.

Celebrating Digital Citizenship & Online Safety
This year, we are rolling out the second edition of the eRaksha Competition, which was first launched in 2019. The competition is a collaborative effort of the Cyber Peace Foundation and NCERT.
The idea behind the eRaksha Competition, is to provide a platform to netizens to share tips and strategies on:
Where on one end technological innovations are adding value to our lives and making it easier, there has also opened up a diverse set of risks which were unfathomable a few years ago. We have been involved in various awareness campaigns over the last couple of years, and we learned that almost every second internet user has had an unpleasant experience online, creating an urgent need to build resilience.
Technology has done us good, and it is here to stay. So what we must focus on, is:
Developing an understanding of using the internet safely, critically and responsibly
Becoming model netizens by following digital ethics & netiquette
Through the competitions, we wish to encourage participation
across multiple levels in the education ecosystem – students from school and colleges, educators from various domains and caregivers to share innovative solutions to problems faced in cyberspace in the form of an artwork, a written piece, a video or even an invention.

This is to inform you that Ministry of HRD (Now Ministry of Education) and mygov.in is organising an online essay writing competition on the subject Atma Nirbhar Bharat Swatantra Bharat for students in two age groups 9th- 10th (Secondary Stage) and 11th- 12th (Higher Secondary Stage). The event will be online. The link for participation in the competition is www.my gov.in.
The details regarding the competition are available on the www.my gov.in. The last date for submission of entries is 23rd August 2020.
THEMES OF THE ESSAY COMPETITION
The selection of essays will be taken up at two levels. Firstly, States/UTs level will finalize the essays. Next, the selected 10 essays from each state will become the pool of selected essays for the final selections at the national level by a team of experts decided by NCERT. 30 essays will be selected in each category i.e. Secondary stage and Higher Secondary stage by the NCERT. Prizes will be announced for the national level winners soon.

GUIDELINES FOR THE PARTICIPANTS
The essay competition is meant for students of Secondary and Higher Secondary Stages from schools under CBSE, KVS, NVS, NIOS and All School boards/SCERTs at the State/UT Level.
IX to X (Secondary Stage)
XI to XII (Higher Secondary Stage)
Word Limits of Essay for each theme
For the Secondary Stage (Class IX & X) the essay should be within 500* word limits
For the Higher Secondary Stage (Class XI &XII) the essay should be within 800* word limits
*The essay should not exceed the word limit. This would lead to disqualification
Mode of submission
The participant should submit the write-up in PDF file format only.

Write-up text should be submitted in the readable Font of Hindi/English.
The font size should be 12 for English and 14 for Hindi.
Line spacing should be 1.15 only.
Entries must be in either in English or Hindi
CERTIFICATION AND AWARD
Attractive prizes shall be announced shortly for the national level entries. However, participation certificates shall be jointly issued by NCERT and My-Gov for all participants who submit their essays.
